Dr. Daniel W. Hamlin
Graduated from Palmer Chiropractic School in 1997. Prior to studying at Chiropractic School, he received his Bachelor of Science degree in 1993 and also worked as a surgical technician while in the US Navy and Navy Reserves from 1987 to 1993. As a surgical technician, Dr. Hamlin spent thousands of hours assisting in many operating rooms, seeing first hand the results of 'bad backs' and what happens to people who have back and neck surgeries. That experience led him away from traditional medicine and into a more preventive/wellness based approach to living.
Dr. Hamlin has been practicing for over 13 years and has been in his current location for 8 years. After graduating from chiropractic school, Dr. Hamlin spent a year working with many professional athletes from the San Francisco Giants, San Francisco 49ers and the San Jose Sharks as an associate doctor in a busy Silicon Valley practice. Since that time, Dr. Hamlin has kept up to date on many continuing educational classes, ensuring that his patients receive the most comprehensive and advanced chiropractic care available in the napa valley.
Dr. Hamlin has had specialized training in treating many different health problems such as automobile 'whiplash' injuries, industrial and work injuries, disc herniations, and pediatric adjusting. Utilizing many techniques in the office like Palmer Specific, Activator and Spinal Decompression, the doctors in our practice can treat patients and conditions that many offices just don't have the resources to do.
Dr. Hamlin is an avid athlete and outdoorsman, having competed and finished over two hundred triathlons, including three Ironmans, 12 marathons and over a hundred century rides. He can often be seen around the Napa Valley on his road and mountain bikes, or coaching his boy's soccer teams. He also enjoys camping, backpacking, fishing and wine making.
Dr. Michael J. Cleaver
- Practicing since 2003
- Education: D.C. Palmer College, MBA St. Mary's College, B.S. California Polytechnic State University
- Professional Associations: American and California Chiropractic Assn., St. Helena Chamber of Commerce
Dr. Cleaver's first experience with chiropractic care came in his late 20's when he injured his back playing sports. After 8 months of medical care and physical therapy that resulted in only minimal improvement, he took the advise of a colleague and visited a chiropractor. The chiropractor helped Dr. Cleaver overcome his spinal injury which allowed him to return to his regular activities within a month. Dr. Cleaver continued his care on a maintenance basis which resulted in the elimination of his chronic headaches and stomach ailments. Amazed by these results and with the urging of his chiropractor, Dr. Cleaver left the corporate world and began a career in chiropractic.
Upon graduating magna cum laude from Palmer Chiropractic College, Dr. Cleaver operated his own practice in Cupertino, CA. where he focused on family care. Located in the heart of Silicon Valley, Dr. Cleaver's practice experienced significant growth in those patients suffering from conditions arising out of the workplace. He assisted these patients in overcoming conditions ranging from headaches, chronic neck and back pain, arm pain and Carpal Tunnel Syndrome resulting from repetitive stress activities.
Initially focusing on pain relief, Dr. Cleaver quickly recognized that those patients who returned for regular adjustments after having recovered from their injuries experienced improved resistance to future injury and better overall health. This experience has led Dr. Cleaver to focus on chiropractic for maintenance and long-term wellness.
Dr. Cleaver provides a myriad of adjusting techniques and ancillary care to support his corrective and maintenance plans. His adjusting techniques include Diversified (manual), drop table and Activator. Dr. Cleaver is one of only 2% of chiropractors worldwide who is Advanced Certified in the Activator technique. Ancillary care includes massage therapy, rehabilitative stretches and exercises, diet and nutritional counseling, and ergonomic review and design.
